About
Tired of the same old celebrity-obsessed magazines? Want to find great things to do with your children? Then Everyday Learning is for you. The goal is to inspire parents– no matter if they choose homeschool, public, private or unschool–to help their children learn every day. The tagline of “live, play, learn, love” really does describe our focus: Childhood should be FUN! Learning should also be fun…and a natural extension of your daily life.
There’s no flashcards or math drills here. At Everyday Learning, you’ll find interviews with inspiring parents, house tours, crafts and books. Hopefully, there’s something here that will inspire you to think outside the box.
About Rachel:
I’m a married mom of two kids, a 3-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. I’ve known for awhile that I planned on homeschooling my children, though, at times, the task just seemed too much to comprehend. Luckily, most of our current homeschooling revolves around having fun, with a little reading, writing and math thrown in to boot.
My family and I recently moved from the suburbs of Houston, Texas to bright and sunny Arizona. We live at the base of a mountain and are constantly dodging scorpions and cactus…and that’s just at our house.
I’m a journalist and writer by trade and have written for a variety of national magazines, newspapers and websites. I started this magazine when I realized there wasn’t the type of magazine/website that I wanted to read. I love learning about all the topics on here and meeting inspiring parents along the way.
I believe in the power of cupcakes and coffee and I have a habit of writing endless lists. You can find me instilling a love of 90s music in my children and standing in the backyard, confusing pigeons and doves on a daily basis.

Followed you for years. I know first hand you always MAKE an inspiring path for yourself. The rest of us (namely me) feel lucky to watch your experiences unfold. Thanks for continually being inspiring!
